The AKC (American Kennel Club) web site has important information about the AKC Pomeranian standard, online puppy registration, and how to locate local Pomeranian clubs. Do not be fooled by other non-reputable canine registries, AKC is the only legitimate purebred registry for the United States. Other acceptable foreign registries are CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) not CKC (Continental Kennel Club),  or UKC (United Kennel Club) not UKC (Universal Kennel Club) .

HealthGene Laboratory is proud to offer a new coat and nose color test in a vast number of dog breeds including Pomeranian. Now, by DNA testing, we can successfully predict the future coat as well as nose colors of puppies. This information can be crucial to satisfy breed standards for dog registration. Using DNA testing to determine the hidden colors of the dam and sire can assist you in choosing the best partners for your breeding stock.
